If you’re looking for a fresh, flavorful, and easy Greek chicken salad recipe, you’re in the right place! This Mediterranean-inspired dish is loaded with vibrant veggies, juicy grilled chicken, and a tangy homemade Greek salad dressing. Whether you’re meal prepping for the week or whipping up a quick lunch, this Greek salad with chicken is light, healthy, and so satisfying.
Why You’ll Love This Greek Chicken Salad
Greek salads are a classic for a reason—they’re crisp, colorful, and full of zesty flavor. When you add perfectly seasoned chicken breast, it turns into a filling and protein-packed meal that’s still low-carb and gluten-free. This is one of my favorite healthy salad recipes because it’s quick, customizable, and always a hit!
For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ½ cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano ( I used a mix of mediterranean spice blend as shown in the photo below)
- Salt & pepper to taste

The Greek Salad:
- 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce (I used one Romain heart)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼English cucumber, sliced
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced (I left it out because I ran out)
- ½ cup kalamata olives
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

Homemade Greek Dressing:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- juice of half of a lemon
- 1 cup of plain greek yogurt
- 1 minced garlic clove
- ½ tablespoon of oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste

How to Make Greek Chicken Salad
- Marinate the chicken
In a small bowl, combine plain greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub this marinade onto your cubed chicken breast and let them sit for 10–15 minutes. Next, grill or pan-cook on medium heat for 6–7 minutes per side until it is fully cooked. I used my air fryers grilling setting.

- Assemble the Salad
In a large salad bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, olives, and feta cheese. - Mix the Dressing
Whisk together olive oil, greek yogurt, minced garlic, the juice of half of the lemon, oregano or mediterranean spices blend and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. - Put It All Together
Top your salad with the sliced grilled chicken and the homemade Greek dressing on top. Toss and enjoy!

This Greek chicken salad makes a hearty lunch or light dinner. Pair it with pita bread and hummus for a complete Mediterranean meal. It’s also perfect for packing into a mason jars for healthy lunches on the go.
Tips & Variations:
- Use grilled chicken thighs instead of breasts for more flavor.
- Make it dairy-free by skipping the feta or using a vegan alternative.
- Make it vegetarian by skipping the chicken and adding chickpeas.
- Meal prep tip: Store the ingredients separately and assemble them just before serving.
