It takes little time or effort to make the ideal matcha latte at home. You can enjoy this beverage for an energy boost without getting jitters in only a few steps.
An iced matcha latte is a refreshing drink. It has a rich and earthy flavor. It can be paired with any milk of your choice. I love to make this matcha during the summer months!
What is matcha?
Matcha is a made from finely ground tea leaves. It has powerful antioxidants, caffeine, and amino acids.
What are the different types of matcha?
Matcha powder comes in several grades.
1. Ceremony: This is the highest quality matcha.
2. Every day: This is an every day grade matcha. It is the matcha powder grade with the second-highest quality.
3. Culinary: sometimes referred to as the culinary grade. This is used for baking, cooking and drinks.
How to make an iced matcha latte
The water must be hot enough to dissolve the powder but make sure it is not boiling. Your goal is to prevent your ice cubes from melting and boiling water can also make the matcha bitter. To combine the matcha powder, I like to use this handheld frother. I enjoy using this organic matcha powder for daily use. It is available on Amazon or at Costco. If you want a higher quality powder, the little additional price is worth it. It is not bitter, and its flavor is soft and smooth. You can try Organic Burst brand ceremonial grade.
